Facebook, the largest social media company, is launching an ad network in the United States.
The platform will offer ads on political ads, and it will also offer ads for political candidates.
The campaign for the 2016 presidential election will be funded through the network, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday.
The ad platform, called AdMob, will be owned by Facebook’s ad platform partner, MediaQuant, and is scheduled to launch in the next few weeks, according to the newspaper.
It will allow users to bid on ads, including ones that will run on Facebook’s news feed and Facebook pages, and bid on political events, such as the 2016 election.
Facebook announced the launch of AdMob in February.
The company is also partnering with Google to help advertisers find candidates for their campaigns.
The new platform, which is designed to be more relevant to candidates and campaigns, is expected to reach 100 million users by the end of 2017, according a press release from Facebook.
The network will feature the ad network’s ad-supported ads, which are currently displayed in the News Feed of users.
“As the world’s most-visited social network, we’ve seen an incredible amount of growth in the past year, and we want to make sure that advertisers know they can count on our ad platform for the kind of unique ad experiences they’re looking for,” said Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s chief executive officer.
“We’re excited to partner with the folks at MediaQuant to help bring their incredible expertise and vision to this new type of ad experience, and to ensure that it is a part of the political campaigns they’re running in the US.”
Facebook’s AdMob will be a new way to buy political ads The network is not the first to offer political ads to the general public, though they tend to be expensive.
Facebook first introduced AdMob to the world in October 2016, when it launched its own ad platform.
In 2016, it launched a political ad network that will be managed by the political action committee America Rising.
The PAC supports Democratic presidential candidates, and in 2016, its ads were purchased by candidates and political action committees.
In 2017, Facebook also launched a Political Ads by the President platform.
The site offers an ad-sponsored version of its News Feed, but users will have to sign in to view ads.
AdMob is part of a broader campaign that Facebook launched in 2018 that will allow political ads for campaigns to be bought directly from the site.
That campaign will be run by an independent contractor called American Majority, a political group founded by the CEO of an American Express bank.
