NEW YORK — News Corp., the parent company of The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, Fox News Channel, MSNBC, CNN, and many others, announced Wednesday it will launch an ad network in the United States.
The network, which will operate in both online and mobile, will provide news, entertainment, and sports content.
The news network has partnered with The New Yorker, CNNMoney, and the New York Times to create the ad network.
The news network said the network will offer advertisers a range of products and services that include ad-supported television and digital content, news and opinion programming, and interactive products and experiences for viewers.
“As News Corp continues to drive global media and advertising growth, the company is building on our existing portfolio of advertising partners to deliver our first-ever ad network,” News Corp President David R. Buell said in a statement.
“Our partnership with The NYTimes will deliver a broad range of content across a range from print, digital, and mobile to news and entertainment.”
News Corp. will use its News Corp ad network to offer the following ad products:The network will also provide advertisers with digital content such as video and interactive content, podcasts, and video apps.
The news networks ad-buying platform will allow advertisers to buy content across all platforms.
News Corp has already announced partnerships with Disney and Disney Digital Networks, but no details were disclosed about News Corp’s advertising plans with News Corp or other advertisers.
