Star Wars: “The Last Jedi” director Rian Johnson is set to return to the sci-fi franchise in 2019 with the sci_fi spin-offs “The Clone Wars,” “Clone Wars: Episode V: The Final Battle” and “The Jedi.”
The filmmaker has confirmed the news via Twitter, which he posted just before midnight PST on Tuesday.

We’re working on The Clone Wars!
@TheCloneWars,” he tweeted.
The director has previously teased a Star Wars spin-over with the news of a “Star Wars” movie.
Johnson’s first Star Wars movie, “Rogue One,” grossed $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office in 2016.
He is currently working on his next project, a “Justice League” movie, which will be released on August 17.
Johnson also directed “Rogue Nation,” “Star Trek Into Darkness” and the “Jurassic World” sequels.
Johnson has directed a total of seven films.
He directed the upcoming “Clue,” starring Kevin Hart and Jaden Smith, and the thriller “Lethal Weapon.”
