Christian advertising network companies are being challenged by legal experts who say they are not allowed to accept money from companies without their consent.
The ABC’s Insiders program has uncovered a new law which allows Christian advertising companies to advertise without the consent of their clients.
But it is unclear whether that is true.
Christians can advertise on networks without the approval of their client, the ABC understands, but only if the companies are a legal entity.
The Australian Christian Lobby (ACL), a lobby group, says Christian networks can only accept money if the advertiser is a legal company.
The ACL says the law only applies to legal entities, but the law is unclear on the issue.
